Crotched Mountain Foundation seeks a seasoned, entrepreneurial Director of Fundraising. This high-level annual fund position requires a special mix of creative hands-on fundraising, donor engagement and stewardship experience with the ability to carry out management of development systems and protocols. Reporting to the Vice President of Advancement, the Director of Fundraising will marshal 3-5 years’ experience to create compelling Annual Fund solicitations and donor stewardship opportunities; will convey to donors a commitment to our mission with compassion and integrity in finely crafted oral and written communications; will manage professional operating procedures and practices with the assistance of an experienced direct-report; and will easily transition between responsibilities on a day-to-day basis. Expertise in Raiser’s Edge platforms is preferred. CFRE certification is a plus.
Reporting to the Vice President of Advancement, the Director of Fundraising works with volunteers and other staff to manage the Annual Fund, special events and a small portfolio of key prospects to secure and steward gifts for the Crotched Mountain Foundation and to help build a strong pipeline of potential major donors. The Director also manages development operations according to industry best practices
Position requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3-5 years’ demonstrated record of accomplishment in fostering strong relationships and active hands-on fundraising, preferably in healthcare or special education. The incumbent will have experience working with relational databases, with preference for experience with Raiser’s Edge platforms. Preference will be given to those candidates with an understanding of special education services/programs. Experience successfully managing staff and volunteers, special events fundraising experience, an interest in being part of a strong team and exceptional oral and written communication skills are critical. CFRE certification is a plus
